Molly Myerson

            Molly Myerson

Molly Myerson is a gardener, artist, educator and student of nature. Far from her New York City birthplace, Molly lives in Point Reyes Station on the one-acre food forest site of the Permaculture Institute of Northern California.

After completing her B.A. in environmental science at Bard College in 2003, she focused her energies on wildlife rehabilitation, working with a wide variety of native and exotic animals in New York, Texas and, eventually, California.. Here, Molly was introduced to permaculture as a working model for how humans can live and interact harmoniously with the natural world, increasing the health and vitality of the ecosystem.

She immersed herself in the principles of permaculture design during the two-year intensive Regenerative Design and Nature Awareness program. At the same time Molly undertook a more focused practice of awareness and nature connection, expanding her senses and sensitivity through bird language, tracking and survival skills.

Molly works as a garden teacher at the Marin Primary and Middle School and as a permaculture designer, doing consultation, implementation and garden coaching. She is also an instructor in the RDNA Native Eyes Program. Molly helped to establish Permaculture Marin, an organization which works to connect people to their dwelling places and communities through gardens and earth-based culture.

She finds endless inspiration from the natural world and is grateful to all her plant and animal teachers. When not in the garden herself, Molly can often be found watching the animals gardening the wild places.
